I think it is well known that stats are not updating if the host does not contact server

I wrote this post, just as a reminder to website admins, after realizing that from stats seems I have 3 hosts at the first 3 positions of host rankings :D

I have only 1 host working on this project but months ago I changed OS and then (maybe) I changed host name.

Is it possible to update host and user stats even if hosts do not contact the server?
